Section B: General Politeness
Is it rudeness or privacy when people won't say, "thank you" or "you're welcome". I want your opinion. If someone holds the door open for you, do you thank them or just walk on through and ignore them? It's never rude to thank someone for a common courtesy. If someone is courteous enough to hold the door for me, I thank them. On the other hand, I don't expect anyone to thank me if I hold the door.
Leechers who use this forum to just download a few sets, why not register? you only get limited views of threads as a non-member, and we have many sections on this forum to keep you entertained for ages.
If you download a set, drop a few words of thanks (it doesn't take a second to do!) or so click the "thanks" button.
Section C: Selecting a Username
Any individual may only register with one username on the Forum. When selecting a username remember that the forum is public. If you wish to post anonymously select a username that will not be known to others. Usernames once chosen cannot be changed unless you achieve such requirements, because in this forum as you have seen in every post we make we gain points, that's one of our way for each member to become more productive because in this forum we have a what we called, "kShop" we have the option to change our username for a month but remember that you have to pay for it for points you gained in posting.
Section D: Avatar Limit
The avatar size limit we have is set at 100 x 100. As choose by our Admins in order to have a more optimized look.
Section E: Signature Limit
Signatures have been limited to 256 characters.
Most Common Suggestions:
Always start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
Please limit Signature length or disable them.
The 256 spaces/characters is simply the default limit on the site of what a user puts in their signature line under their forum post.
Section F: General Posting Rules and Guidelines
The goal here at PinoyME.org is to encourage open discussion with respect for different opinions and ideas. That said, there are some simple rules that must be followed in order to keep your user account in good standing.
No Flaming. Please refrain from posting messages that are harassing, threatening or insulting to another member. It is fine to share your opinions and to disagree, but do so with respect.
No Trolling. Do not post any topic intended to disrupt the peace and harmony of this board. This includes starting meaningless threads with the sole intent of starting dispute.
No Spamming. Do not double post or cross-post the same messages in multiple forums. Mass emailing or private messaging will not be tolerated. If you intend to use the board for advertising your sites or services, keep it to the locations meant for that purpose. Posting for the sake of building post counts is frowned upon.
No Thread Bumping. Please refrain from excessive thread bumping.
No offensive posts, links or images. Staff will decide what is appropriate and what is not. Although we fully respect your rights for freedom of expression we also hold a line at content that is obscene, hateful, violent, sexually oriented, discriminatory, unlawful, racist or in general poor taste. Again, staff will decide what is appropriate and what is not.
Proper spelling and grammar are an important part of good communication. Though we certainly won't be banning folks for poor spelling the use of L3T SP34K or ALL CAPS as regular means of posting will not be tolerated.
Please do NOT, "tipe lyk dis, cuz u wont lyk it wen ya wrned or banned."
Section G: Preventing Duplicates.
Duplicate threads.
First off, duplicates are bad for forums. They clog up the forums, split discussion and make navigation a total nightmare. That is why the Mod staff has made duplicate illegal. If it is reasonable to discuss one topic in the original thread, it does not warrant the creation of a second thread. There is a couple simple ways to prevent posting a duplicate. The first one is so simple- search the forums.
Report Duplicates.
Please file reports if you find a duplicate. A link in the report is nice, but we just want to clean up the forums. So if you know a thread is a duplicate, give us a report. Help us keep the forums clean.
Recreating Old Pages.
To prevent pages from getting too congested and just old, the Mods will allow the recreation of old threads but with a bit of first hand procedure. Give us a copy of the link of the thread you want to create, a manuscript of the thread first post you plan to make, and double check to make sure the topic is over 60 pages and 6 months old then you should get mod approval.
Section H: Identity Theft
Do not impersonate anyone, this is identity theft, it is illegal and is considered gross misconduct. (see below).
Section I: Copyrights http://www.pinoyme.org/advertise/new.png
Copyright - This section covers Copyright on all published works of art with regards to the Internet Intellectual property rights act. This law constitutes written articles, pages from books, e-books, websites, images, paintings, and essays.

Amendments
The following are a set of amendments to clarify the rules for those people who wish to nitpick:
Amendment 1 - There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were angry at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were only kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reasons for breaking it, and you will be punished all the same.
Amendment 2 - Staff abuse will not be tolerated. As a staff member, your job is to help the people, not harm them. You may only use your powers for the purposes that they have been given to you for. There is no limit on how much you may be punished for this severe offense as this must be stopped at all costs to protect the people. This means that if you abuse your powers, there is a good chance you will be permanently banned.
Amendment 3 - Harassing the administration about punishments is not allowed. The Admins are only trying to do their job, and many times they have to make difficult decisions. You may post your opinion in the thread that announces the punishment, so long as you do not flame anyone. If this thread gets out of hand, it will be closed, and you may not complain elsewhere on the board, or by other means including, but not limited to private messages. You also may not make threats against administrators (or other members for that matter...). Punishments for harassment range from a 3 days mute for minor harassments to a permanent ban if serious threats are involved.
Amendment 4 - If you break more than one rule, the punishments will stack up to a maximum of 2 months, or a permanent ban if necessary. If a sentencing length is 10 days or less, it is a mute, otherwise, it can either be a temporary or permanent ban.

If you disagree with someone, criticize the idea or opinion, not the person.
Insults and abuse of other members is not tolerated.
